Peron Islands are two islands off the coast at Kerry's country, Bulgul. These islands are easily accessible at low tide and it is easy to walk across when the water is low. During high tide, access is only by boat.
The islands are home to an abundance of wildlife which provides plenty of food to the people living nearby.
Kerry recalls crossing the shallow waters with her grandfather as a child and collecting many different types of seafood with him. During these visits, he would tell Kerry stories about when he was a young man and was stationed on North Peron to keep a look out for Japanese bombers during the bombing of Darwin during World War 2.
